AlphaGo, the program invented to show up internationally ranked players of the 3000-year old Chinese game, is doing something revolutionary in the world of human capabilities, and closing the gap on what artificial intelligence can do and what the human mind can do.

The game is known for its immense difficulty to master and for requiring the ability to predict and imagine elaborate outcomes, and according to Futurism, was considered an impossible challenge for artificial intelligence to overcome.
