Maritime cyber threats are set to significantly increase

The mandatory implementation of a new navigational system in 2018 is set to significantly increase the cyber risks to the maritime sector. This is in addition to nation states and cybercriminals, which pose the greatest threat to the sector and have sophisticated capabilities that can be used to target the vulnerable systems on which the industry depends.
