Today Al Fadi and Dr. Lloyd Dejongh discuss the basic definitions surrounding Sharia law by which Muslims are to live their lives. By definition, Sharia is the revealed law of Muhammad and Allah. Muhammad is granted equal power and authority as Allah in Sharia. The system itself should not even be considered as a traditional religion but as an authoritarian moral, commercial, political, and legal system. The Fiqh is then the applied legal system that covers situations not directly explained through Sharia.
