A week of rain and flooding has resulted in landslides and closed roads in Washington state. We could be in for more I-90 and Highway 2 as rain continues.
In addition to a large stretch of Highway 2, a number of highways are closed Saturday morning.
As rivers crest and the rain abates, road closures largely remain in place though transit agencies are in decent shape.
I-90 eastbound is expected to remain closed through the night after a landslide blocked the road with trees, mud, rocks and debris Wednesday afternoon near North Bend.
Tidal overflow around abnormally high tides could flood parking lots and parks and may cause some isolated road closures, according to the National Weather Service.
Traction tires are advised on Stevens and Blewett passes and required on Snoqualmie Pass on Saturday, March 15, 2025. More snow is on the way.
All remaining Wednesday morning West Seattle and Vashon water taxi trips are canceled, according to King County Metro.
