beginner guide?

hi people of the internet i am dumb and would like to learn more about hacking and ways a normal person can help prevent it as anything else worth knowing is there a website or something? submitted by /u/LachoooDaOriginl [link] [c…

The government requires mandatory sim registration.

Through this registration, they will get your name, an ID, and a selfie. Why? Apparently, according to the government, this law would stop or at least minimize scams and other illegal online activities. Have they consulted the experts before making such laws? Not a fucking clue but most probably they didn’t.

Now the question is: 1. Would this law really minimize illegal online activities? 2. How does this affect my online security as a citizen?

Scary email – URGENT

Scary email - URGENT

Some months ago I got a trojan virus, and someone had acess to my computer. I immediately installed an anti virus that was recomended on reddit to delete that virus. In fact, the person had access to my instagram and twitter since I noticed my following accounts on instagram increased suddenly and on twitter my account published an post about cryptocurrency. I also had a doc on my pc with some of my social media passwords (fortunately not banks passwords) so that was how the person had access to my social media, but I changed every password on that day. Since my actions (deleting the trojan and changing the passwords) I never noticed again any suspicious things.
But last night, I received an spam email, with the title “(my name) – Urgent Notice…” the email have 2 of my old passwords and 2 attachments. A print of my workspace, and a pdf. I don’t open the pdf because I’m afraid it could be harmful to my pc, but it is possible to read the initial part.

He says that on 14.12.2022 he hacked me.. however, the print that he took is outdated, I was using months ago, when I got the trojan. The 2 passwords he wrote on the email it’s also outdated, I changed all since that day. So if he really hacked me on the day that he mention, the print would be more up to date and the passwords he mentioned would be actualized (right?)
Please someone can help me what I should do or not? Thanks!
(sorry, my english may not be the best)
