[Netbeans] Security Incident: Netbeans 12.5 executable flagged as malware by four anti-viruses
I recently downloaded the Apache Netbeans 12.5 binaries version from here. The reason I had to get 12.5 was because the later versions require JDK 11 or above which I don’t have, I’m still on JDK 8. And the reason I needed binaries is because I have x86 machine for which installers aren’t available.
Anyway, I extracted binaries to a folder and the executable for x86 (netbeans.exe) is flagged as malware by these four anti-virus scanners on virustotal.
Is there any reason to worry here or these are false flags?
