I am trying to modify the firmware of my router as mentioned above to enable telnet to let me connect into it with a terminal from my computer. However after unpacking the firmware, making a change, repacking it and then uploading it, my change doesn’t take effect. I even made obvious changes to the web pages to test and they just stayed the same.
Also when I include the “LZMA compressed data” firmware part in my new firmware binary it says invalid file type when I upload it, when I don’t though it works properly, but without my changes to the firmware actually changing anything.
