I hope you’re all doing well,
I have a question regarding hacker alias’. Of the famous hackers who go by an alias, like Julian Assange (Mendax) or Gottfrid Svartholm-Warg (Anakata) – do these people repeatedly go by their alias? Surely having an alias like this would reduce security for themselves, as if this was ever linked to their personal identity, then I guess all of their actions could be linked and they could face greater prosecution etc. But also it would put a new operation at risk if their alias/identity was leaked without their knowledge to the organisation they’re hacking?
If there’s anyone here with any experience of this type of stuff I’d love your input.
