I’m trying to crack the password for a self extracting RAR archive.

Hello. I’ve been messing around with Winamp plugins and I found this preset for the AVS plugin that’s password protected. It’s a self extracting RAR archive that’s not a virus, by the way.

http://download.nullsoft.com/customize/component/2008/6/16/P/water_ring_2.0.exe

It did get detected as malicious by four antiviruses, though, so it’s recommended that you rename the file’s extension from “EXE” to “RAR” and open it in an archiving program.

The description said that the password was “32303103123”. However, I typed that password in and it says that it’s the incorrect password. Also, since it’s a Japanese program, I tried running it in a Japanese Windows XP virtual machine, but it still tells me that the password is incorrect.

Finally, I ran a password cracking tool and used a custom brute force method where it inputs every combination of numbers that consist of eleven digits and only contain numbers zero through three. Sadly, it couldn’t find the password.

Do you guys have any ideas on how to crack the password for this extracting RAR archive?
