So I’m living in & taking care of a home for a few years here. One thing very important to me is security, but I’ve always just moved into apartments with the right security packages already for me.
Having to make my own decision is tough, so I’ve been educating, but in that I’ve gotten overwhelmed by decision fatigue & marketing BS.
I’ve decided against ADT, my original choice, due to a lot of concerns with them being more of a “sales” company than a security company (overpriced hardware & upselling is the prerogative, not my needs). I don’t live somewhere with a lot of local installers/dealers.
I’m very tech savvy, but also kind of lazy & tend to cut corners, so it is imperative I hire someone to do the installation even if I buy the hardware individually.
I’m looking for;
– Cameras, probably about 8, with audio
– Ring Doorbell
– Full alarms for doors & windows (break sensors too)
– Solid multi-platform software/apps for monitoring myself
– Extensive privacy/cyber security
Based on this information, what do you think I should do?
