ADT Command Workaround?
There is a complex ADT Command system in the house I purchased. It has the 7″ inch touch screen panel, pulse doorbell and Honeywell Six sensors (All paid off). I understand that these are all encrypted and bricked if I tried to use a different control panel. Since I’ve never had service with them, I don’t have an account to use their apps. I read that they have a 3 day buyers remorse grace period. My thought is that maybe if I start their service and immediately canceled it, I would have access without monitoring and a contract. My understanding is that when users cancel their contract they still are able to use the system. Is it possible to prevent them from have any access to the devices? Seems far fetched, but I thought It’d be worth looking into.
