Fighting is continuing in Sudan between the regular armed forces and a powerful paramilitary force.
I need to set up a camera system in my house so my wife can check in on the kids when they are playing alone so she won’t get worried they are hurt. We have used classic “security” systems for this in the past but they really don’t work for this purpose very well, (when you click on a camera to view it it can take fifteen seconds to pull up the feed whereas we would like to just be able to glance at our phones and see a live feed from multiple cameras).
What I am optimizing around:
1. Fast load time from looking at a camera to getting the feed
2. Lots and lots of camaras – systems where the individual cameras are less expensive are prefered even if they have an expensive central unit of some sort
3. Very low chance of disconnect – we really don’t want a system where I am going to have to resync half the cameras ever six months.
Do you guys have any thoughts?
