I have a metal box on the outside of my house, where the fiber and cable connections are terminated. The fiber modem and MoCa adapter are in there, as well as my Emporia Vue 2 devices. The problem is that the cover is attached to the box by six Phillips head screws. There has been a lot of petty theft in the neighborhood, including people getting their breakers and modems stolen. I have a camera trained on the box, but that’s not going to prevent theft.

I’m looking for the best way to secure this box. Security screws might offer a little bit of deterrence, but it’s like to couple that with some kind of actual locking bar or cage or something.

I can’t be the first person who has run into this issue. Honestly, I can’t understand why these boxes are even mounted on the outside of my house to begin with….
