Beginner US: Security threats

Hey guys, I’m a man living in US currently and I personally think the environment has become increasingly unsafe for people with an increase in break-ins and the people’s dismissal of bearing arms and frowning upin those that carry it.

Now here’s a few questions, please answer if you think that’s helpful to anyone-

  1. Personal security- As we all move around between states, starting from scratch is of course a major concern when starting out. We don’t know any better on who’s who just based on gut instinct, if we could, no one will get betrayed. So, when moving states, or cities even, how do you create security around yourself. This can be network building security or anything else. How are you able to attain a good standard of living when you’re moving from a large house to a studio?

  2. Home security- Are you able to find a home in a secure location based solely on the crime stats? Or do you take additional security procedures?

  3. Student security- If your children are moving out of state, how do you ensure their security in terms of someone who’s just getting out of home. No, I don’t think I want them to learn it the hard way. They are smart enough to learn from other’s mistakes. And personally I think it’s a healthy procedure that doesn’t involve trauma so we’re creating vigilant individuals but much less traumatized.

  4. Environmental security- To what extent do you try to control the security that the natural environment doesn’t threaten your security? Like, it could be anything from concealed carry to installing security cams. Also, do you take procedures to decrease cyber attacks?

How do you generally make connections when you move into a new city and how do you know you can rely on some of them when the time comes?

Appreciate the responses.
