Are there any inexpensive security cameras that are really good at picking up sound?
I have a noisy neighbor. And this isn’t like, plays his music too loud kind of neighbor. This is like, slamming his doors so hard they make my apartment shake, screaming swear words at 2:00 in the morning and waking me up, and pounding on/smashing into the walls so hard that I genuinely think he’s either punching them repeatedly or throwing himself bodily against them.
I keep emailing my landlord about it and he keeps saying stuff like, “I’ll talk to him” and then nothing changes. I’ve even emailed him basically saying, “Look, I’m not messing around when I say I think he’s punching the walls, IT SEEMS VERY LIKELY THAT HE IS DOING DAMAGE TO YOUR PROPERTY.” I asked for advice on r/landlord and they recommended I try to get recordings of him when he’s throwing one of his tantrums, but they happen so randomly and for such a short amount of time that by the time I’ve got my phone recording, I’ve missed most of it. Especially when it happens in the middle of the night and wakes me up.
So yeah, I’d like to set up some security cameras just to have on 24/7, but it’s more to record the sound in my apartment. Ideally, I don’t want to spend a ton of money on these either, because I’m pretty sure I won’t have much use for them after either he gets kicked to the curb or I finally get fed up and move out .
Any suggestions would be appreciated!
