my system is: XVIM 1080P HDMI DVR Home Outdoor Security Camera System Night Vision CCTV Wired. from ebay, my current system has four cameras, they are wired. each has its own 12V power and the video connector. very simple system, i don’t connect to internet or cell phone.

however, i did have a Samsung system 3 years ago, i believe that they are inexpensive because they use Linux or some no cost operating system, they all have the same (1 disk drive, one pc board, 12 power, 4 or 8 channels etc.

i would like help step by step how to set up for motion detection, my system records and playback fine. i don’t know how to set up motion detection. what do they mean by motion detection, does each channel wake up when the camera detect a moving leaf, a fly,a bird, a cat, a dog, a human, a deer, a mouse or a rat? i put a check box at motion detect for channel 1, and then copy to the other 3 channels but i don’t see any different. when i play back the recording i can play back but i don’t know how motion detection works, i can see car passing, people walking pass about 15 feet from the camera. please help me set up motion detection, so i don’t have to be an idiot.
