Hello all. Currently have a Nest doorbell and had a slightly scary event over the weekend that freaked us out but turned out to just be some neighborhood kids messing around. Regardless, we want to improve our home security a bit.

We live in a pretty good neighborhood and city with low crime so we don’t need or want anything too intense. I had bought and installed the Google Nest Cam on a whim (before learning it was just kids messing around) but it was a bit pricey and I don’t like the Google Home app or how it is separate from the Nest app. I’m looking for 2-4 cameras with the following features:

• Wireless (ideally rechargeable with good battery life but not solar as they’ll be covered)
• Decent picture quality
• Decent night vision
• Good person detection (we have a lot of rabbits/squirrels and a dog)
• Good app (ideally able to schedule alerts or the camera itself to only work during certain hours or only at night)
• Ideally no monthly service for app but depends on above factors
• Ideally $100 or less per camera but willing to go up to $150 if needed
