We are adding several outdoor ethernet ports for security cameras/wifi to our home and wondering what the ideal height is? We don’t have a soffit until the second story, so they are going to be coming out of the wall.
Our current plan was to run one ethernet to each location and have a port going into something like a https://store.ui.com/us/en/collections/unifi-switching-utility-indoor-outdoor/products/usw-flex and then from that go to different cameras pointing at different angles. So the height of the ethernet port need not be the height of the camera.
Also, is it recommended the ports be in corners or the middle of each wall?
