Hello!

I need some assistance as I try to navigate cameras, and wondered if anyone here could help. It’s not for home security and more for monitoring nocturnal animals for conservation purposes, but hopefully in here people would be able to help me out? I just need to know the right area to look in for what I need.

I need cameras that will record, don’t need to be connected to wifi, and are hard wired in. Where they will be used has no wifi, and when they are put up it is best if they can be put up and left instead of needing to come down for charging.

They also need to record continuously throughout the night, so not on a motion sensor, and show a clear image. And ideally need to send this recording to somewhere where I can get it on micro sd or usb or something similar so I can then access the recordings on my laptop. So not having to rely on a phone app to gain access to the recordings.

They can’t have any sort of flashing lights. Ideally they would also record sound. Mostly, I can’t have something that needs wifi, is wireless, or needs to connect to my phone to work. When I search for cameras, this is most of what comes up.

If anyone knows of a camera system like this, please let me know. Something more like the classic idea of what a security system is like is better than what I can find using search engines, which are all motion sensor, flashing lights, need wifi, are wireless, can only connect to specific apps, etc etc.

I just need something simple that will record at night that I can then take the recordings from.
