Hello, I’m hoping to get some professional advice as to how I can remove power to the existing home security system without setting off any alarms or the fire sprinklers or calling the fire department/police.

I just bought a townhome and it has this system installed which the previous owner (6 years) never used either. The power bricks for it are warm/hot to the touch so I really want to just unplug the system and forget about it, but it seems like it’s tied into our sprinkler system.

I think if I unplug the backup battery from the main control board in the master closet and then unplug the wall power supply that should power down everything. But I REALLY don’t want to trigger the sprinklers, and preferably no loud alarms that I can’t shut off.

So yeah, any advice or who I should call for help locally with it? I’m in Dallas, TX if that matters.
