Window locks
I live in an old house that has windows I cannot seem to find window locks for. The window is 2 separate window panes. One on the inside and one on the outside, each have their own track, but no lip. The pane on the inside goes up, the one on the outside comes down. They only lock when they are closed, in the middle.
The type of lock I am linking below does not work because the window does not have the ledge for the part to fit over (NAME OF PART REFERENCED ON AMAZON-Sliding Window and Door Locks (4 Pack), Adjustable Aluminum Security Screw Lock for 3/16-3/8” Track, Door Stopper Safety Lock, No-Drill Install, Requires 28-36mm Clearance for Screw Lock). Dowels also won’t work because dowels would have to be on the outside for the outside pane and inside they just fall down. The window wedge doesn’t work because there is no room between panes. It is also metal and I cannot drill into them.
I am at a loss.
