I want to add 5 cameras. 3 standard cameras, 1 floodlight cam, and 1 doorbell camera. i have the ability to run cat5 so would like to to run POE cameras. Looking for suggestions for good cameras and a good NVR system. Does the NVR have to be hooked up to a monitor at all times?
Also, 2 of the cable runs would be around 100′. would that be within range? i believe 90m is the break point.
price range i am flexible. looking to get good motion detection, HD video, and solid night vision.
as for doorbell cam, i can do a standalone like Nest or Ring, but would love to have it incorporated. i can’t run Cat5 to the doorbell.
