I’m a threat hunter by day and working towards becoming a pentester. I got my eJPT cert recently and I’m trying to figure out what I should focus on now.
Tbh, I feel like I’m lucky to have passed it. Failed first attempt and the retake i barely passed. I really struggled with finding exploits or knowing which route to follow. I feel like I’m missing a lot of context from a bunch of different areas. An example, seeing data returned from a scan and trying to interpret what I’m looking at, what it means, and how it can be useful.
At any rate, I’m trying to figure out what would be best to do from here? Some ideas I thought of:
1.) Jump into studying for the PNPT cert
2.) Follow a certain path on TryHackMe
3.) Focus on something else
Thoughts?
