Are any wifi cameras/brands better than others when it comes to image quality when zoomed in?

I don’t want to go through the hassle of installing a complicated security system, I just want to use wifi cameras and use the related apps with them, but image quality is so poor when you zoom in on most cameras that it can be difficult to really rely on them if you need to see details. I’ve tried 1080P and so-called 2K, and 5MP, and they’re all just not that great for clarity and details. Thanks for any input.
