Looking for wireless windows sensors, no subscription

I’m buying a house (Canada) in a few months and want to put a security system in it. The window and door sensors would need to be wireless since putting wires in is a pain/expensive at this point. The ring ones look good, but require a subscription and the others ones I’ve seen (eufy) are just massive. Are there any that are small like ring but don’t need a subscription?

Also going to put cameras and an nrv setup, but as far as I’ve seen, these are seperate systems. Thanks for any help!

Careers centered around Side Channel Analysis

Hi,

I’ve been working on developing my cybersecurity chops (reverse engineering / CTF-style stuff) and one sub-field that has really caught my attention is that of Side Channel Analysis / Attacks. I find it super fascinating.

Yesterday I managed to perform a timing attack and crack a 5-character password (simple program running on Arduino) over UART using a logic analyzer and some Python. This is n00bsauce but it was incredibly satisfying nonetheless.

I’m curious whether there are career paths that I could take that are SCA-heavy. I have an EEE undergrad degree and I work in robotics (love handling hardware). I’d love to hear if anyone has recommendations for what kind of roles to look out for, what skills I can work on developing in my spare time, etc.

Thanks.
