Door sensors to alert us when someone goes OUT

As context for this request, I have daughter with an intellectual disability. My wife and I keep a pretty close eye on her, but she sometimes leaves the house without permission. A few years ago for this and other reasons, I installed a Google Nest hub and door sensors. A big reason for choosing Nest at the time was that their door sensors have a button on them that can be pressed for “silent open”, giving you 10 seconds to open and close the door without having to mess with the alarm. So I mounted them up high where my daughter can’t reach them, and it’s worked pretty well for us; we don’t have to mess with an app or a fob or a code on the hub when we want to want to let the dog out, for instance.

But as you probably know, Google is ending support for Nest Hub in April, so we’re looking for a new solution, and I wanted to run my ideal sensor past this group to see if anybody knows if it exists.

What I would love is a sensor that ignores a door opening if my cell phone or my wife’s is within a few feet of it (e.g. it’s in my pocket) but does not ignore a door opening if my daughter’s phone is in the same range and one of ours isn’t. I recognize that this is farther than NFC range but that RFID range is much larger, so I kind of doubt it’s possible. So here’s my question:

What’s the best option for getting alerts for an open door without being annoyed by alerts when somebody lets the dog out or the countless other reasons one of us opens a door briefly throughout the day?

To forestall some perhaps obvious suggestions:

  • Time periods won’t work for us because she could decide to head out at any time of day or night.
  • We already have geo-fencing through Google Family Link on her phone that will alert us when she “leaves home”, but she can be a block and a half away before it triggers.
  • We can’t rely on her to wear a necklace or bracelet or anything like that that could trigger sensors. (We can’t really rely on her taking her phone with her when she leaves, either, another reason we don’t want to rely on geo-fencing on the phone.)

I’m open to a solution that uses Tasker, which I’m pretty familiar with.

Edit: Added Tasker option.
