Is the combination of motion detector and video camera the best solution for replacing discontinued image sensors?

I have a 8-9 year old Brinks (alarm.com) self-installed system that uses a combination of outdoor cameras, door & window sensors, and four image sensors indoors.

The image sensors seem to be at the end of their service life (understandable) but replacing them seems to be difficult because they are discontinued. Do I have that right?

If they are discontinued, is my best path to replace them with indoor motion detectors? If I want video recording of the rooms when the alarm goes off, I’d also have to install cameras as well, correct?

Apologies if these are simple questions!
