Hey, I may be living in campsites, or the wild in a big self sufficient tent for a while, I know I can’t physically secure the tent, I have a 1,6kW power station that I gotta charge with solar or a generator daily. I though of putting a camera sign warning on the entrance of the 3,5 * 4,5m canvas wall tent ( 12×14 feet). And put a legit camera in case smth really gets stolen, that will upload the footage, or notify me when it detects movement (a loud alarm system would also be nice If It detected heavy movement that Is beyond a certain point (like more than wind could ever cause to the tent)), I will have starlink internet with me, it is important to consider lower energy consumption, I don’t know how much these things consume, but I can afford 50watts per hour, which seems reasonable and possible to me, what do you think is a good system ? That could do this, really being able to play with the camera sensitivity is a big thing for me, as I may need to play with it and find out what’s best, the wind will cause the tent to shake a bit, but it’s a sturdy tent with thick metal poles, and heavy canvas fabric.
At first I though of putting dummies in there, fake cameas, but realised that I may actually be able to afford a real system cost wise and energy consumption wise, what’s your advice ? I’d probably make some DIY stand for the camera to be on some table, and a loud alarm that if someone breaks in I’d like to scare them off. And have some footage to have a chance of recovering my stuff if anything happens. What system would you recommend ?
