Was hoping to get some recommendations. My intention is to place a camera inside of my office window facing the driveway. My requirements:

– no subscription needed

– no internet needed

– no wifi

– connects to PC while playing live feed

– motion detection to save clips to local hard drive

– must be able to be used from within a window so hopefully no glare issues

– night vision

– picture quality is not a huge deal to me, I don’t need to see the pores on a persons face coming down the driveway, just a general idea

I am tech savvy, and want connect the camera to an old PC I don’t use much anymore, that won’t be connected to the internet so I never have to worry about having my camera hacked into. I also don’t want to pay for any greedy sub plans. I can install any software through USB, or temporarily connect to the internet if needed. My PC currently has Windows, but I would be willing to create a Linux partition if there are specific cameras for that. I am only vaguely aware of POE, but would be okay with setting up a switch in between my PC, thanks in advance for any recommendations. I tried researching this, and felt inundated with cameras that didn’t meet some of my requirements.
