We have a sliding glass window over our shower stall that only has a 10″ high opening. Being south-facing, it does let in a lot of light, and provides ventilation. I’m mulling over whether we can “safely” leave that window open overnight, or whether that would be a security risk. Just wondering if there’s any information out there about how large of a window is safe to leave open at night? Haven’t been able to find it myself, however I have learned that 4″ is as much as any window should be open at night :-)…but this is a different question. A child getting their head caught in this window isn’t really a concern, it’s a little high for that.
Anyways, short of being burgled by Flat Stanley, wondering what level of risk I’m taking leaving this window open.
