Night latch vs second deadlock
I’ve just moved into a house and will be rekeying the locks. The front door has a 5 lever dead lock and a night latch.
My fear is that I will go outside and the wind will slam the door shut, with the night latch locking me out. If I replace the nightlatch with another deadlock, that means then I have two deadlocks on the frontdoor which I don’t know if it is a hassle or not.
Is it worth replacing the night latch with another deadlock instead of just rekeying the nightlatch?
Which is most secure from an insurance point of view?
