Apple HomeKit/Ring vs Google Home/Nest
Currently, my setup is using HomeKit for lights, smart plugs, and scenes and I’m using the ring for security cameras but I’ve been really interested in Google’s home ecosystem especially the Nest smart home display (which Apple is missing) and the Nest cameras because ring doesn’t have face detection/ pet detection.although ring cameras have the (disarmed/home/away) modes that Google home is missing.
I’m torn between changing everything to the Google Home ecosystem and hoping for the best or just staying where I am with two separate apps. Any advice or opinions?
Edit: I don’t like the Alexa ecosystem.
