Cat6 vs Station Z wiring
We’re doing the rough in for our new office space and we’re running Cat6 for the network and access controls. We brought in a company to spec out a security system. They’re advising us to use station z wire for the motion and door sensors etc. Our cat6 is 23awg vs station z at 22awg. Has anyone used cat6 for this and was it a problem? We have a bunch of the cat6 already and feel like the difference is so minimal it wouldn’t really make a difference.
