So I’m around beginner to intermediate level in terms of hacking (and programming). I’ve been thinking of an idea for my workspace, as I’m likely going yo have a spare computer as well as my raspberry pi.
So basically, the system I’ve been thinking of is I use one laptop as a work computer for on-the-go. It will have the basic stuff on it, but fir the system it will have a folder called backup. Whatever I put in this folder is transferred to my raspberry pi(likely via ssh), and just in case, I’ll bring a USB drive in case the backup doesn’t go through.
When the laptop is shut down, any new data made in the session will be deleted (I am aware that this data on the laptop’s storage can be recovered which is why I will use a file shredder).
At home, I’ll have a hard drive which I will put the backups sent to the raspberry pi on (of at least the ones that I consider important).
This system was thought up like a week ago, and I’m unsure how secure it will be. I will likely do more research in it, but I’d like your thoughts on this idea.
