I’d like to get a video doorbell and window contact sensors for a bit of peace of mind. I’d like these both to be able to give alerts to multiple phones. I’m not interested in any other smart home devices – not interested in smart locks, motion sensors, extra cameras, etc. For this reason, I really would like to avoid shelling out for a hub. What are my options?
If I do have to get a hub – who should I look at for an ecosystem? I’ve been looking at Aqara, and seen some good reviews on their contact sensors, though they require a hub. Are generic hubs an option? Unfortunately, money is an object for us.
