Why is this alarm panel stuck in tamper mode?
It’s an old Optima XM which came with the house. The tamper light stays on and the keypad is locked so I can’t arm it. The PIR sensors still seem to be detecting motion as before.
I’ve replaced the battery, and tried powering it off/on with battery/mains power.
When I reconnected the battery initially, the alarm went off and it let me put the code in, then when I put the lid back on it reverted to tamper.
Is there something wrong with the lid/wiring (besides it being a mess)? I’ve not touched anything beyond swapping out the battery (12v, 2.1Ah Yuvolt).
