any open source IP cam firmware for PTZ cameras?

I have a ACTi-I92 PTZ(Pan Tilt Zoom) security camera.
but the standard firmware is really trash and actually doesn’t even really work anymore with normal modern computers, since the firmware expects you to use windows as well as to use a old version of internet explore so old that even the windows compatibility layer for internet explorer pages doesn’t support some of the needed functions anymore making it so that you can log in and change settings. but not vieuw the camera, or controll it anymore.
using it in software like VLC and OBS also doesn’t work with that camera firmware.

I can possibly still try setting up NVR software on some old laptop or such, but since it is mostly just to test this system first I want to first use it in a way where you can directly controll it and check all the functions.(note I got this camera from some company which changed their security system, they where gonna throw them away so I got this one.

main goal it to get it to work, also optimally to be able to controll it from Linux and watch it from Linux so that it doesn’t require some old windows internet explorer libraries which even aren’t in windows anymore.

also to know if it actually works or not, since if it is broken I will likely replace some parts and turn it into some kind of robot fpv or ai turret or such, or just make my own camera system and system for controlling the motors and such and replacing the current one with that, but the camera sensor I plan to place in it if the current hardware is broken is of only 640p so much lower than 2mp, so I preffer to first see if it can actually work normally.

so is there any open source firmware or such to allow PTZ cammeras to work on modern computers instead of only on some far outdated stuff.
