We just bought and moved into a new home with a DSC alarm system. I have the master code for the system, but unfortunately I don’t have the installer code. We just had our internet hooked up and decided not to buy a landline, and now ever since the TLM (Telephone Line Monitoring) beep has been going off. I seem to be able to silence the beep for a few hours at a time by entering *8 to see the reason for the beep, but then it just returns again. Is there a way to reset the installer code? If not, can I just unplug the battery from the main control panel in the utility room to shut the thing up?
We haven’t decided yet if we want to keep the system long-term, so I don’t want to go start snipping cords, but the incessant beep is starting to get to us….
