I have a new DR Horton smart home. I ditched ADT/Safe Haven within the 3-Day trial (so glad I did – hallelujah!) and went the Surety Home route for monitoring (and pay a lot less a month 😮‍💨). A few days in and things are going well so far. Surety is for window / door sensors, motion & glass break detectors.

Looking to hardwire cameras to not have to pay a company monthly for Wi-Fi cameras. Paying all that money to lose access to my cameras in case the Wi-Fi goes out doesn’t sit right with me lol. I’ve had experience with Reolink Wi-Fi cameras at my previous spot but alerts were always delayed. I’ve seen other users recommend Reolink NVR systems on here, but idk. In the same breath, my home inspector recommended Lorex but I’ve seen not so good experiences with that from reading through blogs on here.

So with that being said, I’m open to recommendations from others under this post. Your comments / suggestions would be greatly appreciated! 😊
