ADT Owners – Can you switch panels to one that works with Home Assistant?

My company recently signed a 36 month contract with ADT unbeknownst to me and are now past the 3 day cool-off period to cancel it. We inherited the panels and wireless sensors for the business we acquired and I really wanted to integrate it with Home Assistant to perform some local operations, such as disarming the alarm when a specific lock code was entered into the door. Lo and behold, it doesn’t appear there is any Z-wave or MQTT integration with the current panel. I believe it’s a “homesafe 3000” or something like that (non touchscreen). I saw that there’s an alarm.com integration with Home Assistant but relies on scraping the web portal and can be unreliable.

Looking at other integrations I saw there are a few for panels like the Qolsys iq4 which can show updated states for armed/disarmed etc. and that it can integrate with ADT. If that’s the case, is it as simple as swapping out the panel, and if so — how would I go about doing that, or do I need to have a tech do that and/or get the panel through ADT?

If there are any other recommendations on how to get LOCAL integration (i.e. not rely on the cloud) with Home Assistant that would be great.

Thanks.
