Advice on mounting cameras to Hardie vented soffit
I need some advice on mounting cameras to my soffits. It is a new construction and we are going to use Hardie vented soffits or an other brand equivalent. I’ve ran my cables but I can’t figure out if I should buy some junction boxes and recess them before the trim guys come or just drill through and mount the cameras to the soffit after it is installed. The camera junction boxes I have found appeared to be surface mounted and I’ve read that cameras don’t line up screw holes with other circular junction boxes. I have plenty of room in the soffits for either cable or junction boxes but I don’t know which would be the sturdier/cleaner way to install. Any help would be appreciated.
