Lost WiFi connection when connection to Bluetooth adaptor goes out of range

Hi, I recently bought a usb bluetooth adaptor from AliExpress so I can use my bluetooth earbuds with my desktop. I’ve noticed some weird behaviour when I leave the connection range of my desktop while wearing the earbuds. When I return to the desktop, I see a lost connection popup for my wifi with the connection password prefilled as one would expect. Before I got the adaptor, this never really happened, or at least I don’t remember it happening often.

You hear about various sniffers now being installed in things like hdmi cables and things, and I was wondering if this behaviour could be such an attack vector.

Is this a case of, “take off the tin foil hat, bro”, or is there something I can use to see if there is something sending data from a hardware device out to someplace. I’m running Fedora Linux.

Thanks.
