Was there anything suspicious with my browser?

I work at home on a corporate virtual network, with state of the art security, monitoring, its own device and a separate internet connection.

Recently while my shift one of my pages on screen changed its format. It was wacky and different, but not random, the info and buttons were organized, like it was a legit page. Then I found out I was the only one in the team to have had this change. I couldn’t access some of my buttons here, so I called the IT guys. The guy was confused, he said, “yes it shouldn’t be looking like this for you”. He took screen shots to review with his side. But then asked me to clear cache and restart my Edge browser. I did, and it got fixed.

Then he hung up thinking that was the issue. But then I noticed all the font on my browser was messed up. Like in the words, some random letters were half bold while not the rest, it was also smaller and thinner text. Some places looked like there was thin vertical lines going through the text or logos. I called IT again. He changed my text font on Edge to another type and said that should do it. But it didn’t. I was ending my shift soon, so I said I’ll manage. But it was weird and a struggle to work with. I also had 2 Edge browsers open, and this was happening on only of them.

This was very suspicious because there are literally a few hundred employees on the Virtual network across the country. And I have around 9-10 others in my team. I was the only one to experience this. Though its a super secure network, not easy for anyone to mess with and your definitely getting detected either way. So I’m sure I was paranoid and it wasn’t a hack. If im not wrong. But what could cause this?
