Hi, everyone
I’m here to ask a question that I’m sure has been asked ad nauseum but just trying to get a good starting point.
We just bought a house and we are going from a sleepy, rural town of about 500 people to a major city. For safety purposes, I’d like to look into installing a 2-4 camera system. Wired or wireless, I’m considering both options, but I’d like something without monthly fees that footage could just be stored on a hard-drive and rewritten after so long if there’s nothing to review. Probably just have it record when it senses movement.
Fairly budget friendly but doesn’t have to be cheap. There are a lot of popular camera brands out there and I hear mixes of “there’s a monthly fee” and “no there’s not” so I just want to get everything straight.
I’m not well versed in these systems but even something that stores on an SD card should be fine.
I appreciate your time and recommendations.
