We’re building a new home and wanted a reasonably good setup. Sadly I think I might have made an error running romex instead of ethernet lines for indoor and outdoor cameras. I’ve got 16 runs both indoor and outdoor, all with electric lines. There’s no way I can get now run ethernet since we’re getting ready for paint and finishing. Can folks help me figure out what I should do? I looked at Arlo and Nest, which appear will work fine, but I was hoping for a clean install – both mount to walls and ceilings, but I’m wondering if there’s an option to mount them over electric sockets. Again, sadly, all the sockets are going to be in the ceiling. Also, I assume if I just plug them into outdoor sockets I’ll have 6 feet of USB cabling I’ll have to figure out.
