Hi guys!
About a week ago, my bicycle got stolen including my home key. Fast forward: locks all replaced, but I want to get notifications when some one’s on my property.
Been deepdiving in security camera’s, but there’s quite a lot of brands. Right now I’m dubbing between Reolink and Eufycam. Seen some others being appraised too but here’s my requirements:
- 4K clear image, sharp at least within 5 meters
- Recording only when motion is detected
- Recording on SD OR NVR
- I want to look back shots with motion for at least 3 weeks. Stuff older than 4 weeks: don’t care.
- No subscription
- Notifications on iPhone when camera detects motion
- No drilling of holes. So the camera’s should be wifi and battery operated.
- Being able to call criminals names through a mobile phone app, telling them to sod off.
- Loud alarm (nice to have)
Budget: around 400 if possible, but willing to go slightly up if it really is worth it.
The situation:
Home with LG and 2 floors up. Doors to the outside at LG (2 doors) and from the veranda. We have a terrace at the 1st floor with a staircase down on the outside.
Front door has lightTerrace is pitch black at nightRear door has a light with a sensor – and some other “street lights”. So that place is illuminated quite well.
If the camera’s are WIFI operated, then I just have to connect the NVR to my local network where the wifi router is on and it all connects right?
Was thinking of:
Reolink Duo 2 WiFi 4K WiFi Camera with Ultra-Wide Angle (2 times)Smart 2K+ Wired WiFi Video Doorbell with Chime8-Channel PoE NVR for 24/7 Reliable Recording
Or the Eufy route
:eufyCam S300 (eufyCam 3C) (https://eu.eufy.com/products/t8881321 ) Which is a combo of the Homebase3 and 2 camera’s.Video Doorbell S330 Add-on
Advice is very welcome. Many thanks in advance!
