Trouble Accessing Hikvision DVR Footage on WD Purple HDD – Need Help
Hello, r/homesecurity community! I’m facing an issue with my Hikvision 7100 series DVR system. I recently removed the WD Purple HDD (1TB) from the DVR and connected it to my computer using a SATA to USB adapter.
When I checked the disk in Disk Management, it appeared as unallocated. I created a new volume, but to my surprise, it seems to be empty, and I can’t find any of the security camera recordings.
Is there a specific process or software I should use to recover or access the recorded footage on this HDD? Any advice or guidance on how to retrieve my camera recordings would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help!”
