I’ve got a Vista 20P system with a 6160RF Keypad, Honeywell Tuxedo, and an Envisalink 4 that I use with my Home Assistant for automation.
I have three outside wireless gate contacts – Ecolink WST-242 (they seem basically the same as the Honeywell 5816OD’s) and a few other indoor gate contacts.
Randomly – one of the outdoor gate contacts will take over a half hour to report that the gate is closed. I’ll go out the gate, it’s reported within a couple seconds. I’ll close the gate -reported within a couple seconds. Then a minute later I’ll open the gate – reported within a couple seconds, and I’ll close the gate… 30 minutes to an hour later – reports.
This is not every day (I go through that gate almost every day, twice a day). This isn’t even once a week! It’s just randomly once, maybe twice a month. The batteries are only 11 months old, and no low battery warnings. I’m unsure about the other wireless zones because I rarely, if ever, use those gates, but this one gate I need to know it’s closed before I let my dogs out.
