Bought a house that has an old DSC panel that had been subsequently retrofitted with a TAKE-345 module and 2gig GC2 panel system. I want to upgrade because the cellular module is now end of life.
My options are:
1) Buy the Qolsys IQ4 to interface with existing equipment and have modern cellular hardware. For this option – is it easy enough to replace other secondary panels? I have one in master bedroom and one by the garage, and honestly no idea if these are hard-wired or if they’re wireless and interfacing with the TAKE-345. I suspect the latter?
2) Upgrade the 2gig GC2 with an LTE module. I’m less inclined to do this as I kinda want to modernize everything
3) Tear out everything and use existing wired sensors with a new system.
What would you do if you were me? Thank you in advance!
