Hi there!
We moved into this older house a few months ago and I’d like to DIY our alarm system instead of paying Telus.
The old system looks to be a PC5010 (Photos attached)
I’m assuming it has wired power from looking at the diagram – in addition to the battery that’s sitting there?
From what I can tell around the house we have two motion detectors, one in the hallway, and one in the living room, a front panel, and a door bell (all of these clearly not functioning presently).
I’m looking for some verification and/or feedback or pre trouble shooting with regard to my plan:
Panel/Hub: Vista 20P
Keyboard + Wireless Receiver: 6160RF
Self Monitoring / Internet Capability: Envisalink 4 Module (Optional IP monitoring at fee)
+ Optional Sidekick for Envisalink LTE with SIM + Service Fee potentially.
Questions:
Any obvious flaws?
Is there any requirement or benefit to a 5881ENH wireless receiver module if I already have the 6160RF keyboard which has the wireless receiver built in?
If I wanted to incorporate a garage door opening panel, any suggestions?
Also from what I understand if I wanted to add in video camera monitoring – that would not really tie into vista 20p and would be separate?
